Extended Family Prayer concerns:
Please be praying for my mom, Glenda Miiller, and her husband, Tracy (TR). While in Florida on vacation my step-dad’s mom, Lois Miiller, was found dead in her garage by a shotgun shot. They are saying the bullet entered in through her stomach and out through her shoulder and have ruled it as an accident. Lois had been in and out of the hospital for a while after having small strokes. Had she died of natural causes things would be much easier but I know Tracy is having a very hard time dealing with this.
He flew straight to Iowa from Florida and my mom is now driving back by herself. Please keep them all in your prayers. Her funeral will take place this Monday in Marshall Town, Iowa. Cards of encouragement would be very much appreciated. Those can be sent to Tracy and his sister, Sherry, at 3309 Sanford Avenue, Laurel, Iowa 50141. Or you can mail them to Tracy’s home address at 24440 S. 610 Lane, Grove, Oklahoma 74344.
Not sure, who is getting this e-mail, but if you don’t know my mom, she was a member there until her and Tracy moved to Oklahoma. I know she would appreciate everyone’s prayers during this very troubling time!!

Please keep Billy and Nikki Fleck (son and daughter in law of Bill and Sharon) in prayer. They lost their house to fire, Tuesday February 2nd. All the family made it out of the house safely.
Enid Brown (mother of Linda Hamm) fell and although her hip is not broken, she has bursitis, tendonitis, and her femur is deteriorated. She is in a nursing home in Kansas. 1/31/10 update: Please remember Enid in prayer as she attempts to get stronger in the nursing home so she can return home. Linda has requested a card shower for Enid to encourage her. The address for cards is available through the church office.
You may have heard about the girl being hit Friday night on I44 toward Strafford, she had stopped to help someone else on the side of the road & another car lost control, hitting her throwing her in the air. She is currently in a coma in Cox South, her name is Amber—she is the daughter of one of our Housekeepers @ work. The news from the doctors yesterday was not very good. I’m asking if everyone can say a prayer for her. Thanks. Patty Scroggins
A co-worker of Susan Sullivan’s Mary Sharp, had skin cancer in her right shin, took 30 stitches to remove all of it, it was pretty embedded, she is very lucky. Other than some swelling, doing well!

Sister of Rose Hughes, Ann, has been in the hospital in Brownsville, TX all week and hasn’t been diagnosed but is having a lot of problems with her colon. Please pray for her. Thank you. Update 2/18: Good News! Ann’s biopsy came back negative. They said she doesn’t even have colitis! At the beginning of all this, she did have an infection, but now they think it must all be due to nerves. I know her husband is living on a prayer with a bad heart and the trip back for Debbie’s funeral made her a nervous wreck. So maybe they can fix her up. ! I am so relieved! Thank you. Rose Hughes

He is working but it is very hard on him. The blood clots are not completely absorbed at this point. They said it could take months for his body to absorb these clots.
Tod Massa (brother of Daphne Ewing) is recovering from surgery to remove a golf-ball sized tumor underneath his brain. Technically it is called a meningioma and is benign. Mike Chipman (husband of Robert & Vicki Kerley’s niece) was moved to the Hope Lodge today. He could be there as few as two months if he continues to do as well as he has the last two weeks. He only had a few days of feeling badly between the transplant and now. He was given platelets and bounced right back. His blood counts are all looking good right now and the doctors are very pleased with his progress. Thank you for all the prayers.
Marilyne Benson, (neighbor to Bonnell’s) 9 year old granddaughter, Carina Benson, has just been diagnosed with Anaplastic T-cell Lymphoma following a short period of high fever. It was a complete shock to them. They have told her she will have chemo for a year and will probably lose her hair. Marilyne said that was the hardest thing for Carina to accept so far. Marilyne and Al are in Minneapolis with the children so her son and daughter -in -law, Kevin and Jill, can be at the hospital more. It’s terrible news and the fact that Marilyne and Al lost their own 21 year old daughter a few years ago doesn’t make this any easier. I’m asking if you have time, if you’ll send a card or two to Carina and/or the family. Below Marilyne mentions that little Carina is artsy, so I’m sure she would appreciate any card that comes. Any encouragement we can give the family will be important showing them that Christians care. They do not have a church home, although we talk about it a lot. This would help that situation, too, I think. Thanks for doing this if you can….Love, Margaret Bonnell
